In giving birth to our babies, we may find that we give birth to new possibilities within ourselves.
— Myla Kabat-Zinn

I have always loved babies. As a child, you could find me snuggling the newborns and entertaining the other kiddos at family gatherings. It wasn’t until I gave birth in 2015 that something shifted and I was living the postpartum experience myself. I realized that yes, I loved all things birth and I consider myself a certified birth nerd, but there was something missing. I just had this life-changing experience, but everyone wanted to hold my baby. Who was holding me? That part of your story matters. As a parent and birth worker, I will walk alongside you as you navigate this new version of yourself - and I am grateful to see it.

I took my doula training in 2019 and completed a 16-week full spectrum program and began to pursue my doula career. I work in the Calgary area as a birth/postpartum doula and birth photographer. I have had the opportunity to support families in the comfort of their own homes and in local hospitals around the city. I believe in informed choice and evidence-based care, and that your autonomy matters. My goal is to make sure you feel like an active participant in your birth because your birth is yours - it shouldn’t just “happen to you.” I’m not here to push an agenda, I’m here to meet you where you are. This work fills my cup. I love witnessing people step into their power and intuition as they welcome their babies into the world.

Besides my obsession with all things birth, postpartum, and supporting all reproductive outcomes, I’m a busy mom of two young boys, and I always knew it would be that way…Intuition I guess. I’m a geek at heart and I love a good fantasy series to read. I’m a born and raised Calgarian which means the Rocky Mountains hold a very special place in my heart. I like caffeine, but, if I’m being honest it’s necessary at this point and most parents would agree with me. The more I do this work, the more I realize I don’t know and yet, somehow, I trust the process so much more.
